TARA: Transpersonal Astro-Rayological Analysis

We have developed a new and more comprehensive instrument which may actually assist in more accurately determining the Rays of the individual’s energy system. That instrument is the TARA (Transpersonal Astro-Rayological Analysis), which is now ready. The TARA has a series of different modules most of which focus on determining the Rays of a particular vehicle. The TARA is not simply a Ray questionnaire; it is an in-depth process of esoteric inquiry intended to facilitate the disciple’s understanding of his or her entire energy system. While our knowledge of the Rays does not yet allow us to apply "expert diagnosis" in the evaluation of the Rays of the human energy system, the TARA represents a small step in that direction. The full TARA Process is designed for those who are not only spiritually oriented, but who also have an adequate amount of spiritual experience on the Path of Aspiration and, especially, on the Path of Discipleship or the Path of Initiation. To gain the greatest benefit from the entirety of the TARA, one will have to have a patient and meditative approach: patient because the process of responding to the statements in the TARA is long. One cannot expect to finish it in less than a week of quite dedicated attention, and possibly even two or three weeks will be needed; meditative because there are parts of the TARA which focus on the nature of the higher aspects of the human energy system the understanding of which must be approached meditatively and in depth. Few students of the Ageless Wisdom understand much about these higher energy-domains and a patient meditative attitude (using the Antahkarana or "Rainbow Bridge") is required if there is to be any hope of registering the nature of the Triadal and Monadic Rays.

The TARA book

The TARA is contained within the Word document above. It's similar to the PIP test, but more complex and detailed. Unlike the PIP which gives general Ray tendencies, the TARA includes differentiation into physical/astral/mental vehicles, personality, soul, Triadal, and Monadic Rays. While the PIP test contains just 3 modules, the TARA contains 14 modules. Two modules are the same between the PIP and TARA, namely Highest Aspirations and Traits to Transform. Even here the TARA is more detailed, in which the PIP Traits to Transform considers 28 traits, while the TARA considers 115 traits. The TARA is not just an intellectual test, but rather an interactive meditation process. The different TARA modules can be looked at independently, like a reference book. The TARA book contains the following 14 modules:

The "Astro" part of TARA

TARA stands for "Transpersonal Astro-Rayological Analysis", in which all of its modules guide one toward understanding their Rays. The original plan for it was to also include astrology modules, which would consider the Ray energies in one's astrological chart. Hence the "Astro-Rayological" part of the title. However, none of its current modules are about astrology. Although not formal TARA modules, astrology software can be used to look at one's Rays. The free astrology program "Astrolog" can consider one's Ray energies. It includes the following features below. Astrolog can be downloaded from: https://www.astrolog.org/astrolog/astfile.htm
